New to Packline Materials Handling and Ultrasource LLC, this roll lifting equipment with a single arm clamping vertical spindle and powered rotation was designed in response to a customer requirement in the labelling industry to handle heavy, wide rolls of labels that have a tendency to telescope whilst being handling. Constructed from stainless steel, this roll handling solution is also suitable for clean room high care environments.

This vertical spindle attachment incorporates a single clamping arm with nitrile rubber pads to ensure that the roll is held securely in position.

The attachment is suitable for heavy and wide rolls up to a lift capacity of 440lbs / 200kg and diameter of 39.37 inches / 1000mm.

This lifter is ideal for confined spaces and narrow production lines with a limited area for maneuvering. In addition to the clamping mechanism, the rolls are securely gripped by the core. This mechanism has a torque limiter fitted so that the clamping fingers do not over or under tighten in the core. This enables the operator to lift the rolls with complete confidence and safety.

This model features powered rotation of the rolls to and from the vertical to horizontal orientations. A manual handwheel provides the roll gripping and release action of the core. A further handwheel provides the clamping action of the single arm.

The attachment has been designed to provide strength, durability as well as improved wear resistance and enhanced ease of use which provides a simple and safe action.

This handling solution is suitable for the food, drinks, pharmaceutical and packaging industries. Furthermore, it is backed up by a full bespoke design service so ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit most rolls.
